" I first became interested in becoming an EMT at the beginning of 2020, once Covid-19 began. I thought there was more I could do with my time and wanted to be part of something that I knew makes a difference in people’s lives every day. I reached out to FLVAC and applied. By October of 2020 I had become a member at FLVAC. I instantly fell in love with the organization, the people, the sense of family, and the difference I felt I made in people’s lives. I learned a lot as a probationary member that would then help me as I got through EMT school,
but also would help me on calls and in my everyday life. Joining FLVAC has been an extremely rewarding experience and I wish I had done this sooner!"
